Tracey's new CD, NEVER MIND THE RAIN, features 14 original songs and
musical stories complete with imaginative sound effects and recorded with full
bands. The CD features 25 of the Baltimore/DC area's finest roots musicians
performing zydeco, Dixieland, folk, swing, boogie woogie, Hawaiian, Appalachian, rockabilly,
reggae, and rock 'n' roll. NEVER MIND THE RAIN teaches children in a most
delightful way about different styles of American "roots" music and about the instruments
that characterize each style. Moms and dads will enjoy this
music as much as the kids.

- BALTIMORE'S CHILD says:
"Listening to Eldridge's songs is like taking a deep breath of fresh air
filled with high quality musicianship, composition, and talent. There is
none of the talking down to kids or the dinky sounds of electronic music
that permeate so much of the music in the children's market.."
- Phil from at A FAMILY RUNS THROUGH IT says:
"....what we heard was a collection of highly-polished full band
recordings
in styles ranging from Dixieland to Rockabilly to Zydeco. And we're all in
love with Tracey's gorgeous voice. She reminds me of two of my favorite
singers, K.D. Lang and Karen Carpenter. She tells great stories and
teaches about music in a fun way. My kids and I highly recommend Tracey
Eldridge! You can buy her CD online at CD Baby."
- John Wood at KIDZMUSIC>COM. says:

SCHOOL PROGRAMS
LIBRARY PROGRAMS
Tracey's creative educational programs have been performed for library
and
school audiences throughout the state of Maryland. Here's a partial list
of programs currently being offered:
-MUSIC 'N' MOTION is expressly designed to spark
imaginations and to
nurture self-esteem. Through songs, movement, puppetry, stories,
sign language, parachute play and interactive games kids learn about
sharing, teamwork, leadership, celebration of diversity, recycling, and
the art of negotiation and compromise. Presented in a high-spirited, fun,
sometimes silly & zany way, this program is ideal for ages 2 through
6.
- LET'S GO! is a fantastic journey by train, plane, car, truck, bus, boat, bicycle, rocket ship, foot, horse,
and
even time machine! A creative musical exploration of transportation and
movement for ages 2 - 6.
- AMERICAN MUSICAL ROAD TRIP travels America's highways and
byways to explore distinct regional styles of music.
Tracing each style to Old World origins, this program celebrates
America's multicultural makeup. Ideal for elementary school
audiences.
- BAD ROADS, GOOD PEOPLE:
A Musical World Journey takes
children off the beaten path to experience sounds
native to the Andes Mountains, the Caribbean, Australia, East and West Africa, Russia, North America, Europe, the Middle
East, and East Asia. A celebration of universal human ingenuity and
diversity, this program is suitable for audiences pre-K through grade
6.
- GOOD VIBRATIONS explores the dynamics of sound and draws
distinction between music and noise. Tracey
guides
children in discovery of the body as musical instrument and demonstrates how instruments are grouped into families whose
members make vibrations in similar ways. Audiences see, hear, and
touch instruments from each family. Children
play percussion instruments and take part in a rhythm community. For
pre-K and elementary audiences.
CHILDREN'S CONCERTS
You can see Tracey performing
interactively
with children at kid's clubs, festivals and special events in Maryland, DC, and Virginia
throughout the year.
